Americans Agree on What is Important in Education

In my experience, all but a handful are aligned when it comes to our kids and their education. This article gets it exactly right: "Despite the false narrative created by education culture wars, there is broad agreement on a collection of practical K-12 issues: expanding career and technical education, increasing school funding, boosting child care and early learning, raising teacher pay and providing more education options. This agreement, says contributor Bruno V. Manno, creates an ideological heartland — a state of mind where domestic realists, who tend toward the political center, live. It’s time to forge a new K-12 political coalition from the ideological heartland, based on everyday concerns shared by most Americans."
